Save-the-Dates are a lovely and fun way to ensure that guests reserve the date of your wedding in their diaries well in advance, and they communicate to guests key details to plan accordingly, such as the location and perhaps your wedding website.

Save-the-Dates may reflect the look or theme of your wedding and therefore serve as the debut for your complete suite of wedding stationery, or have another unique look that reflects your personality as a couple.

It’s best to post save the dates at least six to eight months before your wedding. Couples marrying during a popular time or who have many guests who will need to travel may want to send save-the-dates even earlier -- in some cases up to a year in advance. As a bonus, you’ll already have the postal addresses collected well before you need to send your invitations!

Plan to begin the design process about two months before you plan to post your save-the-dates.

Your invitations are the showpiece of your wedding stationery suite.

Post your invitations six to eight weeks before your wedding if you have sent out a save-the-date and at least eight to 10 weeks before if you have not. If you have a large number of international addresses, plan to post even earlier.

Your invitation package may also include a reply card, reception card, accommodations card, map/directions and/or details about other events complementing your wedding day.

Married couples and families receive one invitation per couple/family.

The design process should begin at least six months before your wedding date to allow time for collaboration and for the invitation design to inform the rest of your stationery suite.

The first piece of stationery your guests will see on your wedding day. Includes the information you need or want them to have as a guide through your wedding ceremony, such as the order in which things will happen, titles of your selected music and/or readings, names of members of the wedding party, etc.

There are many ways to direct guests to their seats that will enhance your decor scheme.

More than just numbers -- your table labels can enhance the tableau that greets your guests when they reach their seats and tell your guests more about your lives together as a couple.

Another opportunity for a beautiful but useful decoration at the table. Sometimes also serves as a favour for guests to take home.

After putting so much thought into what to serve your guests, this is the place give your selections the fanfare they deserve.

Dinner or drinks the night before, breakfast the day after...

Your first piece of correspondence as a married couple. Extend your theme, debut your new monogram, showcase a photograph from your wedding or honeymoon...the options are endless.
